Walton Tai Chi has been teaching quality Tai Chi in Walton since 2005. The class is structured to encourage and promote the best in you. Each element has particular benefits which improve at least one aspect of coordination, energy, flexibility, and timing to form a holistic system.

Class Information

Classes for beginners and students are held on Thursday nights at 7:30pm-8:30pm, with an advanced class for senior students at 8:30pm-9:30pm. Click here for more information for beginners.

Many students join the class on their own, and some join with a friend or partner. The class is a friendly and welcoming group that support one another and have fun learning Tai Chi together.

Practitioners of all abilities and fitness levels are welcome. Tai Chi is about enhancing your life and feeling good so it does not matter where you start from, just that you want to come along and have fun.

Syllabus

The core syllabus for all students includes:

  • Tai Chi Short Form
  • Tai Chi Long Form (Yang Style)
  • Chi Kung (Chi Breathing)
  • Kung Ching (Chi Building)
  • Chi Circulation
  • Crane Breathing
  • Pushing hands
  • Taoist Massage

With the above techniques you will develop a deep and well-balanced understanding in Tai Chi and the principles behind it. You can achieve a very high standard of Tai Chi at the same time as enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of practice with the friends you will make at the class.
